Key Learnings
- 01Birdeye documents token overview and token-security endpoints in its Data API, supporting data-led market research.
- 02In 3,971 resolved MemeAssist observations through 2026-08-31, 486 of 914 high-risk observations were dead at 24 hours (53.2%), versus 294 of 2,169 low-risk observations (13.6%).
- 03In 2,259 observations from Jul 23–Aug 9, 2026, insider-risk 60+ averaged -11.3% (478 observations) versus +1.1% below 60 (1,781 observations); half-loss rates were 14.2% versus 2.4%.
The difference is data access versus evidence interpretation
Birdeye offers market-data infrastructure and token research surfaces. Its official documentation includes a token overview endpoint and a token security endpoint, while its Data API page describes access to blockchain market data. That makes Birdeye a strong fit when an analyst, application or trader needs structured token fields and market analytics.
MemeAssist focuses on interpreting a collection of Solana token-health signals. It checks contract and liquidity context alongside holder clusters, creator-wallet history and trading patterns, then produces a Health Score, Rug Risk Rating, AI Verdict and Detailed Risk Breakdown. Its setups, watches and alerts are built around revisiting a decision as evidence changes, rather than merely retrieving another field.
Bias disclosure: this is MemeAssist's own comparison. We benefit if it is selected. Birdeye capabilities below are limited to what its official linked documentation describes; where a workflow is not documented there, we call it a workflow difference rather than claiming an omission.
Birdeye's documented token-data strengths
The Birdeye token overview reference documents a request for token overview information, and the token security reference documents security-related token data. For a developer, these endpoints can support a dashboard, screening system or research notebook. For a market participant, a data-oriented product is valuable because it can make basic token facts and market context available without manually assembling every source.
Structured data still needs interpretation. A security field, ownership figure or liquidity number can be important without answering how several signals interact. For example, a holder distribution may require wallet-link analysis to distinguish independent holders from wallets funded by one source. That does not reduce the value of Birdeye's data; it identifies the point where a user needs a review method.
MemeAssist's interpreted health and setup workflow
MemeAssist treats a mint address as a due-diligence case. Rather than asking users to decide what every raw field means alone, the AI Verdict states the evidence and the Detailed Risk Breakdown shows the components behind it. The analysis can surface effective holder groups, creator patterns and suspicious activity context alongside standard token mechanics.
After that review, a user can save a setup, watch the token and receive alerts for relevant changes. This helps separate “I saw a live market” from “I have documented why I am monitoring it and what would make me reassess.” It is not a recommendation engine, and an alert is not an instruction to trade. For the full approach, see how MemeAssist analyzes Solana tokens.

What outcome tracking contributes
MemeAssist tracked 3,971 resolved observations through 2026-08-31. Within that cohort, 486 of 914 high-risk observations were dead at 24 hours (53.2%), compared with 294 of 2,169 low-risk observations (13.6%). The high-risk group averaged -54.7% over the tracked 24-hour window. Medium and low bands did not rank cleanly on every measure, so the labels should not be treated as a precise forecast ladder.
In the separate insider-risk study, 2,259 observations were analyzed from July 23 to August 9, 2026. Scores of 60 or above averaged -11.3% at 24 hours across 478 observations, versus +1.1% across 1,781 observations below 60. The respective half-loss rates were 14.2% and 2.4%, or roughly six times higher for the 60+ group. “Insider risk” is a 0–100 analysis-time reading of connected supply: bundled launch-block buys, holders funded from a common source and creator-linked concentration. This is observational forward outcome tracking, not evidence that the score caused the result or that a score determines an individual token's future. The sample, definitions, selection and market regime limit generalization. It is evidence for reviewing insider concentration carefully, not a promise of protection or a profitable signal.

How to use the tools without over-reading either one
Start with Birdeye when you need market or token fields for a screen, an application or a broad research pass. Confirm the correct mint address and review the information that matters to your process. Then use MemeAssist when the question becomes whether a specific Solana token has a concerning combination of ownership, liquidity, creator or behavioral evidence.
Use the report as a checklist, not a substitute for judgment. Check liquidity relative to market cap, identify concentration and read the explanation. A separate MemeAssist slice of 3,779 resolved outcomes found a 26.7% death rate when liquidity was below 2% of market cap, versus a 15.6% baseline; that is a useful caution flag, not causation. The minimum-liquidity guide explains why exit capacity matters.
Best for: Birdeye, MemeAssist, or both?
Birdeye is best for data-centric research, token overview and security fields, and teams building from documented API access. It fits users who want to inspect and combine market data themselves.
MemeAssist is best for a plain-English Solana token health review, linked-wallet and creator context, and a setup/watch/alert process that records why a token deserves attention. It is useful for traders who want the implications of evidence explained.
Use both if you want robust inputs plus a separate decision-review layer. No combination makes a volatile token safe, predicts a price, or replaces independent checks and risk limits. See also how to check whether a Solana token is bundled.
Frequently asked questions
Does Birdeye provide token security data?
Yes. Birdeye's official reference documents a token security endpoint, alongside a token overview endpoint. Check its current documentation for fields, chain coverage and access terms.
What does MemeAssist add to a data-led workflow?
MemeAssist combines health signals into a written verdict and detailed breakdown, including holder-cluster and creator context, then supports setups, watches and alerts for follow-up.
Are the insider-risk results predictive?
No. The 60+ versus below-60 figures are observational tracked 24-hour outcomes from 2,259 observations collected July 23–August 9, 2026 (478 at 60+ and 1,781 below 60). They do not prove causation or predict an individual token.
