Ranking Methodology: How MemeAssist Screens and Orders Meme Coins

The exact rules behind MemeAssist's Solana meme coin rankings: eligibility thresholds, AI health versus deterministic safety, exclusions, timestamps, selection bias and version history.

Maintained by the MemeAssist Research Team. The live policy version is shown on each ranking snapshot.

Rule constants

  • Maximum rows per page: 25, applied after each page's filter
  • Analysis window: 30 days
  • Policy version: curated-memes-2026-11
  • Maximum rug-risk score: 40, level low or moderate
  • Mint and freeze authority: both explicitly disabled; unknown fails
  • Minimum market cap: $2,000,000
  • Minimum liquidity: $50,000
  • Minimum token age: 24 hours
  • Minimum holders: 100
  • Snapshot cadence: about every 15 minutes

What the ranking is

The ranking combines API-discovered candidates from CoinGecko's Solana Meme category with completed MemeAssist analyses. Exact Solana mints establish identity; category membership is an editorial classification, not a safety endorsement. At most 25 tokens whose latest report was analyzed within 30 days and passes every rule are listed. It is not a forecast, a recommendation or a paid placement.

Eligibility rules

A token's latest report must be complete (no analysis error or pending sections), analyzed within the last 30 days, with a valid health score.

Rug screen: the deterministic rug-risk score must be 40 or lower and the level low or moderate. Authority screen: mint authority and freeze authority must both be explicitly recorded as disabled; unknown is not a pass. Historical screen: the price-history check must be clear; missing coverage is not a pass.

Market cap must be strictly above $2 million, not FDV. Token age must be 1–365 days, verified from the mint initialization transaction; a new pool does not reset token age. Minimum liquidity is $50,000 and minimum holder count is 100. Unknown evidence fails. Wrapped, staking and infrastructure assets and moderated identities are excluded.

AI health score versus deterministic safety

The health score (0 to 100) is produced by MemeAssist's AI analyst from the token's evidence, under fixed evidence rules covering liquidity, holder quality, whale behavior, momentum, distribution and insider risk. MemeAssist does not publish fixed numeric weights because the analyst reasons over the evidence rather than summing a weighted formula.

The rug-risk score is deterministic: the same contract and wallet inputs always produce the same score. Eligibility relies on the deterministic screens; ordering uses the health score. Strong, Mixed and Weak are display bands at 70 and 50, not additional rules.

Timestamps

Three times matter. The snapshot time shows when the list was generated, about every 15 minutes. The analysis time shows when each token's report was created; scores and screens describe that moment. The market update time shows when price, volume and market cap were last refreshed, which is separate from the analysis.

Exclusions

Each snapshot reports two exclusion counts. Rug-risk exclusions are tokens with an explicit rug-risk score above 40 or a high or extreme level. Other exclusions cover everything else: incomplete or stale reports, unknown or active authorities, unclear price history, missing values, and tokens below the liquidity, market cap, age or holder minimums. An empty list is shown honestly rather than padded.

Selection bias

Only tokens someone chose to analyze can appear. Popular tokens are analyzed more often, so the sample over-represents tokens that were already getting attention. Rankings describe this sample, not the whole Solana market.

Performance

MemeAssist has not yet accumulated a ranking outcome cohort, so no ranking returns are published. A cohort would need at least 30 distinct ranked tokens resolved at the same horizon under the same policy version; repeated snapshots of the same token do not count as independent. The public track record measures outcomes after individual analyses; it is a different sample and is not the performance of this ranking.

Version and changelog

Current policy

public-ranking-2026-11: rows limited to 25 per page after filtering. Rug-risk score 40 or lower, explicit disabled mint and freeze authority, minimum liquidity $50k, market cap $10k, age 1 day and 100 holders, separate market-data timestamps, split exclusion counts, 15-minute snapshots and prospective outcome capture. Take badges removed from ranking rows.

Previous policy

Up to 50 rows from the last 30 days that passed the rug-risk screen and historical-collapse check, refreshed every 5 minutes.
