Observed risk versus uncertainty
Observed risk comes from evidence we read and judged unfavourable, such as a mintable token or an unlocked launch position. Uncertainty comes from checks we could not complete, such as a holder census that stopped at the first page.
The report separates observed risk points from uncertainty points, with the evidence timestamp. If every point comes from missing evidence, that is a reason to wait for more evidence, not proof of fraud or a percentage chance of a rug.
Rug vectors specific to Uniswap V4 pools
V4 hooks can add fees or logic to every swap. For recognized Pons V2 deployments the report reads hook code and admin settings on-chain at a pinned block; unsupported, proxied or failed cases count as uncertainty. A code match does not prove the pool is safe.
A locked launch position does not mean all liquidity is locked. Later positions can be added and removed freely, so we report launch-position lock and whole-pool protection as separate checks.
Holder concentration
Top-holder concentration is only meaningful once pool, locker and burn addresses are excluded and common control is reviewed. When the holder list is incomplete, the report says so instead of showing a partial percentage as fact.
Questions
Is a low rug-risk score safe?
No. A low score means the checked evidence raised few concerns at capture time. Contracts, holders and liquidity can change afterwards.
Why does missing evidence increase the score?
Because a check you cannot complete is a risk you cannot rule out. Keeping it separate as uncertainty points lets you see how much of the score is unknown.
